Nelly Radanova is an Associate Professor of Italian Linguistics. Her research interests are in the field of Italian and comparative linguistics, translation, culturology, Italian opera, folklore and traditions.

She was a professor at the Sofia University ‘St. Kliment Ohridski’, at the University of Rome La Sapienza, guest lecturer at the University of Skopje. She was invited to give lectures at the universities of Rome, Pisa, Padua, Pescara, and Palermo. She has participated in congresses and conferences in Italy, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Macedonia, Serbia, Russia. Since 2007 she is a professor at the New Bulgarian University. She is the author of books, studies, monographs and articles published in Bulgaria, Italy, Romania and Hungary. Sh is a translator of books on history and folklore from Bulgarian into Italian and of fiction and non-fiction from Italian into Bulgarian.
